Navajo Women Entrepreneurs Graduate From Freeport-McMoRan's Free Online Business Training Program

March 26, 2020 - Project DreamCatcher, Freeport-McMoRan’s free online business training program designed to create economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs, recently graduated 16 Navajo women from the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.

DreamCatcher is part of the DreamBuilder project, which is a partnership between the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

March 19, 2020 - Together for a Sustainable Calama is the name of the recycling project that will benefit more than 4,000 people in the towns of Tocopilla, Calama, María Elena and Alto Loa in the Calama region of Chile.

The stations will recycle paper and plastics and feature murals that celebrate local history and heritage. The project also involves recycling training and workshops for children.

Employees Break the Box Office by Raising More than $11 Million for United Way

That’s an increase of 14 percent over last year, and the first time the company’s campaign crossed the $10 million mark.

Two Freeport-McMoRan General Managers Honored by Mining Foundation

xxx January 17, 2020 - The Mining Foundation of the Southwest recently honored General Managers Vicki Seppala and Bill Sircy at its annual Hall of Fame Awards in Tucson, Arizona.

Seppala, General Manager-Climax, was awarded the foundation’s Medal of Merit, while Sircy, General Manager, Processing-Cerro Verde, received the Medal of Merit Under 40.
