Sierrita Concentrator Celebrates Five Decades of Operation

January 13, 2021 - In 1970, when Sierrita operations commissioned its concentrator, it was the largest in Arizona, produced 77,000 tons per day of copper and was the second largest producer of molybdenum in the country.

The operation was one of the first to use primary and mobile crushing.
