Freeport-McMoRan Global Supply Chain has expanded our e-business initiative and seeks to engage suppliers in an integrated, electronic fashion and provide a flexible means to do so. ‘e-Business’ processes promote a closer relationship with our suppliers allowing for improvements in the operational and administrative efficiencies for both Freeport-McMoRan and our trading partners.
Suppliers of any size or technical competency can conduct business with Freeport-McMoRan via the Ariba Supplier Network or through a Direct Connection via our e-Hub. These platforms provide Freeport-McMoRan a flexible, internet-based framework for:
- Conducting Electronic Document Exchange (EDE) for Order and Invoice transactions with preferred suppliers,
- Collaborating with suppliers by visibility to content via electronic catalogs and
- Enabling definite order routing using electronic business documents.
For suppliers, these e-business platforms provides a hosted application for receiving and processing orders, or suppliers may opt to integrate their back-end systems with the Ariba Supplier Network or our e-Hub.
Further, e-business is a key component in the ‘procure-to-pay’ process with Freeport-McMoRan Corporation and our affiliate organizations.
As part of our Global Supply Chain strategy, we are pursuing all opportunities with suppliers to bring efficiencies to our mutual business process and enable greater transactional improvements.
If your organization is interested in transacting with Freeport-McMoRan via the Ariba Supplier Network, desires a ‘Direct Connect’ with us, or has inquiries into our B2B capabilities, please contact Brucke Nickle for North American/Indonesia operations.
