Around the Company in Pictures: Freeport Sites Show Holiday Spirit
December 24, 2025 - In the weeks leading up to the holiday season, the company’s global operations got in the spirit with activities that spread cheer and helped those in need.
Across North America, Freeport employees embraced the season with generosity and creativity. Toy drives were a popular way for sites to give back, with participation from Safford, the Thatcher Training Center, Climax and the Phoenix corporate office. Morenci built Santa's workshop, Sierrita put out a holiday display at its main gate, and New Mexico and the Central Analytical Service Center in Safford joined local parades. New Mexico remembered service members no longer with us by volunteering with Wreaths Across America at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
In South America, El Abra continued its support of the DreamBuilder program by holding a Christmas fair with the women entrepreneurs in Calama, Chile. The site also hosted a Christmas concert. Cerro Verde employees delivered clothing and other items to an organization that supports blind children. The site also delivered presents for children and food baskets to area families.
PT Freeport Indonesia observed the holiday season through Christmas services, community events and donation drives across its operations. Highland activities included a two-day festival with music, a Christmas market and family-friendly offerings alongside community donations. Lowland teams organized drives for food, toys, clothes and books. And Jakarta employees visited an orphanage with donations as part of their holiday outreach.
