Freeport Climbs to No. 11 on Fortune’s AIQ 75 List

October 6, 2026 - Freeport climbed 20 spots to No. 11 on Fortune's 2026 AIQ 75 list of Fortune 500 companies successfully adopting and scaling AI, remaining the only mining company included on the ranking and improving from No. 31 on the inaugural list in 2025.

The AIQ 75 recognizes Fortune 500 companies that are delivering measurable results through AI while demonstrating effective governance, scalability and integration across core business processes.

“AI alone doesn’t create value,” said Bert Odinet, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. “Value comes from getting AI into the hands of people who can identify meaningful opportunities, be honest about the results and be willing to implement change. We’re proud to see our teams once again recognized for that work.”

Odinet also was included in an accompanying Fortune story highlighting companies ranked highest for agentic AI adoption.

Drawing on ServiceNow’s Enterprise AI Maturity Index, the AIQ 75 profiles Fortune 500 companies across 18 sectors that are generating significant, measurable impact from AI adoption. The 2026 ranking expanded from 50 to 75 companies, reflecting the widening adoption and impact of AI across corporate America.
