Freeport-McMoRan's Community Partnership Panels Engage With Stakeholders Virtually

August 27, 2020 - Freeport-McMoRan’s North America Community Development team moved its 10 community meetings to a virtual space earlier this year when they could not be held in person due to social distancing precautions for large groups.

Each quarter, Community Partnership Panels provide a forum for representatives from the community and Freeport-McMoRan to discuss the status of the business and site operations, address any questions or concerns, and encourage dialogue related to community needs, challenges and possible solutions.

"The pandemic has challenged all of us to do things differently, including finding ways to stay engaged with stakeholders in our communities and continue to work collaboratively on COVID response and recovery," said Tracy Bame, Director-Social Responsibility and Community Development.

The Community Partnership Panels are held in communities near Freeport-McMoRan’s operations in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
