Morenci and Safford Operations Donates 72,288 Bottles of Water to Help Tribal Communities

August 25, 2020 - Morenci and Safford operations donated 72,288 bottles of water to help with a summertime water shortage for tribal neighbors made worse by coronavirus pandemic hygiene requirements. In remote locations of Arizona, some members of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and White Mountain Apache Tribe haul water for drinking, cooking and cleaning. The sites donated the water in July and August, including this delivery to the San Carlos Apache Tribal Emergency Response Commission.
