Company Partners with United Way Chapters to Prioritize Matching Funds for COVID-19 Community Relief

June 15, 2020 - Freeport-McMoRan continues to support the places where we operate and call home through our partnership with United Way. We recently collaborated with United Way leadership to request our company matching funds be directed to providing COVID-19 relief for families, local businesses and organizations throughout Arizona and New Mexico.

We’ve worked to assist United Way in providing breakfast and lunches to children during school closures – such as this girl at the Cobre Valley Youth Club in Globe-Miami – in putting checks into the hands of local businesses, and in contributing to COVID-19 response funds to address food insecurity, child care, homelessness and lost wages because of business closures. We are grateful for our partnership with United Way and their dedication to helping support families in need.
