In 2015, Freeport-McMoRan experienced a total employee turnover rate of nine percent, relatively unchanged from recent years. Turnover by operating region varied as follows: North America (12 percent), South America (20 percent), Indonesia (3 percent), Africa (3 percent), and Europe/Asia (4 percent). Total turnover among male employees was 9 percent, while total turnover among female employees was 11 percent. Employees over age 50 represented the age group with the highest turnover at 17 percent.
